Poco Loco Companion is the Twitch extension that lets viewers interact with a creator's Poco Loco race. It is a Twitch feature. Kick joining, boosts, and honks use their own chat integration; installing a Twitch extension does not add Twitch Bits or Companion to Kick.
Prepare the Twitch channel
Sign in to Poco Loco with the Twitch creator identity for the channel you will host. Use a supported game window and keep it connected during your stream. Companion depends on the current race in the matching channel, so a viewer panel on another channel cannot control your session.
You can host and let viewers enter without requiring a Bits purchase. Start with a normal Grid/chat join and a completed race before treating paid interactions as a setup test.
Install and activate Companion on Twitch
In your Twitch Creator Dashboard, open Extensions, find Poco Loco Companion, and install it. Open its configuration, then activate it in the available Twitch extension slot. Twitch owns the dashboard and available placement surfaces; use the placement offered by the installed extension rather than assuming every slot or device shows the same panel.
Open your channel as a viewer and confirm the extension is visible and enabled. If it is absent, review activation and placement in Twitch before changing Poco Loco race settings. For extension availability or a missing listing, use support; do not install an unrelated extension with a similar name.
Share the viewer identity for personal actions
A viewer must be signed in to Twitch and share the identity needed by the extension for their own racer or Garage. The extension's signed Twitch identity is checked against its channel. Anonymous identity cannot identify the player for personal actions.
Viewers do not need a separate Poco Loco creator account to use their Twitch racing identity. The Companion Garage can expose the viewer's own vehicle and skin preferences. Another viewer's selections are not yours to change. A choice saved after joining is for future entries; the current race keeps its captured vehicle choice.
Check the running-race actions
Join while Grid is open using the displayed Twitch command. Once the race runs, Boost and Honk act on your own entered racer. The free Boost allowance is 3 in races expected to take under 60 seconds and 5 otherwise.
Yeet, Yeet 3, Spin, and Spin 3 are Twitch Bits interactions against random eligible racers. Paid Boost also exists. See buttons and controls for targets, free allowances, and how the creator's controls differ from viewer buttons.
Configure and review Bits purchases
Use the extension's Twitch configuration to choose from its available price presets. Check the amount shown for the selected effect. Creators can choose different Bits amounts, so prices can vary. Before confirming any viewer purchase, read Twitch's amount and the selected effect.
Twitch purchases are checked against the running race before an effect is applied. Paid Boost needs your entry. Yeet and Spin select eligible racers rather than a viewer-selected target. A pending checkout, unavailable verification service, ended race, or missing target can prevent fulfillment. Do not approve duplicate purchases merely because an effect has not appeared yet.
Troubleshoot identity or checkout failures
If personal actions are unavailable, confirm Twitch sign-in, shared identity, the creator's channel, and your entry in the running race. If the free allowance is zero, a further free Boost is expected to be unavailable. A phone may expose different extension placements, so use the supported Twitch viewer surface for the installed extension.
If checkout or verification fails, keep the visible transaction status and contact support. Do not send an extension JWT, access token, password, or private provider credential. A payment being completed does not itself prove an effect was dispatched; an ended race cannot safely be replaced with an effect in a different race.
The expected setup result is an active Companion surface on the intended Twitch channel with identity-dependent actions responding to the current race. Twitch extension settings and Bits transactions remain Twitch-specific.
